Sprint says they want to phase out the Nextel brand and the iDEN network. So why do they keep releasing iDEN phones? Why not tell all the push to talk folks on iDEN that they’ve got to get a CDMA phone or go away? Anyway, spycam photos of a new Motorola Android smartphone with Nextel branding and apparently iDEN connectivity has surfaced on the internet. The phone, dubbed the Motorola i1Q, looks like a follow up to the Motorola i1 that was released last year and appears to borrow the keyboard from the Motorola Droid Pro.

A few days ago, I told you about the LG Optimus V – a version of the popular mid-end LG Optimus One for Virgin Mobile US. And, as promised, Radio Shack has begun selling the contract-free phone for the prepaid carrier at the rumored price of $150. But, oddly enough, still no mention of the phone on Virgin Mobile’s website.
